Urban walking tours of Gallipienzo
Old Gallipienzo offers tourists different walking tours to enjoy its intricate narrow streets, paying special importance on the natural landscape and highlighting aspects of the history of this watchtower town, which makes us value how important the Kingdom of Navarre used to be.
The first urban walking tour is focussed on the natural wealth; starting at the Fountain and heading towards the interpretive trail of the natural reserve. From there we will walk to the bird observatory, to subsequently climb up to the hermitage of “Nuestra Señora de la Peña”. We will return to the town via the “Camino de las Estelas” and to complete the tour, we will visit the incredible Church of San Salvador. – https://bit.ly/3aOdRne
The urban route dedicated to the town’s history begins at the fountain and heads towards the exhibition area. We will then walk along “Juego Largo” street until arriving at a Passageway. Upon arrival we are welcomed by the strong walls of the Parish Church of San Pedro, we will then reach “Plaza del Matadero”, and then return to the Chruch of San Salvador. – https://bit.ly/34immFW
Both paths take about 50 minutes to complete and we recommend wearing comfortable shoes. A place to get lost between stone walls and great beauty.
