In Navarre we are lucky to have many enchanting nooks and natural areas. Precisely at the entrance to the Region, at just a few kilometres from Gallipienzo, we find Lumbier, a small town of Roman origin.
This town is known for its Canyon or Gorge, so as our first stop we can walk its path and contemplate its rugged walls and daring nature. There are two paths of different durations to choose from.
The impressive canyon of the Irati River has an incredible landscape filled with flora and fauna such as vultures, which are very typical of the area, as well as birds of prey and different animal species.
Also, Lumbier has been one of the most important areas of the world in terms of Navarre pottery during the second half of the 20th century; therefore, for our second stop we propose visiting the Plaza de la Alfarería (Pottery Square) located in the centre of town.
For our last stop we will visit another of the most emblematic places of Lumbier called Josenea, a plot with aromatic and medicinal plants where we can discover and learn about organic agriculture as well as bio-construction criteria and terms.
Enjoy exclusive activities in unique landscapes.
