HEREDAD BERAGU
An experiential project to be enjoyed by our guests and maximum respect for our surroundings
OUR HISTORY
Heredad Beragu receives its name from the history of the town of Old Gallipienzo. The word "heredad" was defined as a set of properties with a farmstead, stables, a wine cellar, a barn and even a mill for making grain as well as oil. We know that at Gallipienzo there were 3 of such properties, which became the 9 rooms that comprise this rural hotel. On the other hand, the word "Beragu" refers to the hill upon which Gallipienzo stands and transmits the essence of this place known as the town of dreams.
Visiting Old Gallipienzo is to become fascinated by its charm. This occurred when Patxi and Ramon, the developers of Heredad Beragu, visited this magical place for the first time. The idea of creating a place integrated with its surroundings came to life in what today is this rural hotel.
Managers – Patxi & Ramón
We are Patxi y Ramón and we are the precursors of the experiential project that is Heredad Beragu. We feel really fortunate to be able to enjoy these natural surroundings with such cultural heritage and we work hard every day to promote the sustainability of the rural environment, without forgetting about the enjoyment and holiday experiences of our guests. Come visit us and we will show you the best this land has to offer.
Development of the area
One of our main values is our respectful relationship with the rural environment and this includes the people around us, while also trying to promote local consumption by buying fresh seasonal products from the local markets and grocers. We also collaborate with the culture of the land and promote activities that are respectful with our surroundings.
Environmental commitment
Our commitment and respect for the rural and natural environment that surrounds us began when we had the idea to build Heredad Beragu, classified as a "sustainable building" by recycling 90% of materials removed from the old construction. The hotel is designed to provide maximum energy efficiency: power for heating and hot water is supplied by biomass and solar energy, "class A¨ appliances, low consumption lighting, sealed doors and windows, systematic recycling and we have an organic vegetable garden and chicken coop.
